I studied at Rycotewood College, Thame, Oxford, and Bishop Lonsdale College, Derby and Birmingham School of Art Education. Foundation studies in drawing and painting developed into a particular interest towards graphics, surface pattern and design, and various aspects of printmaking.
My artistic work has evolved over many years, stimulated by an enthusiasm to experiment, developing different approaches and to express ideas through application. In my work I embrace techniques and methods of sampling, mixing and montage.
I have used many themes and inspiration for my work from the industrial heritage of the Potteries expressed
in bold and vibrant colours, to closer studies of natural forms and surface patterns and textures.
I regularly exhibit my contemporary portfolio of paintings and prints in open exhibitions and
art shows, at our local museums and art galleries.
